PR manager

A large international law firm invites applicants to the position: PR manager
Primary duties:
  • Drive and implement communications (internal and external) and media strategies that are both cost effective and produce quantitative and qualitative results
  • Manage end to end communications and engagement campaigns from idea initiation, design to execution
  • Identify potential news, topics, and comment opportunities. Responsible for driving the quantity and quality of media coverage for the company and individual experts
  • Execute day-to-day PR initiatives and activities, including developing, pitching and placing articles and stories; writing and distributing press releases; developing, updating and maintaining content across company’s external and internal communications channels (website, social media channels)
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of SMM coordinator and outside vendors, such as proofreaders, copywriters, etc.
  • Proofread all marketing and communications materials and continuously serve as an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Develop and manage relationships with key media contacts, continuously reviewing and updating the list of reporters in Ukraine and across the EU, UK, USA writing about Ukraine/Ukrainian legal market
  • Maintain editorial calendars for all professional and business publishers
  • Develop and lead media trainings for staff
  • Manage and execute client events, delivering a professional end to end service
  • Provide support and work as part of the company’s wide marketing/BD/communications team
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the department head.
  • Master’s degree in public relations, communications, or related field is required
  • Minimum five (5) years of public relations experience required
  • Big Four or law firm background is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent relationships with relevant journalists
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
